HISTORY OF Djanet
Djanet est une ville et une commune régionalement rattachée au district de Djanet, l’Etat algérien de Djanet, une oasis à 2300 km de la capitale du pays, au cœur du désert du Sahara et à 100 km de la frontière avec la Libye et à 200 km du Niger. L’oasis est habitée par des Touaregs, qui parlent la langue tamazight, dans le dialecte Tariq. Djanet est la capitale du Tassili et compte 14 655 habitants.
